Class Type

The Divertimenti Cookery & Wine School is the exciting place to learn more about food and cooking. We offer a range of classes for students of all abilities, from novice to experienced cook. You also receive a 10% Divertimenti shopping discount*

Demonstration Classes offer you the opportunity to look and learn as a leading chef prepares an array of dishes before you. Included in the cost of a Demonstration class is a copy of the recipes, coffee for daytime classes and wine for evening classes, and a generous tasting of each dish. Class size is limited to 34 people (London) and 24 people (Cambridge).

Hands – On Classes provide you with the chance to work directly with a chef and prepare the dishes yourself. You’ll work with other students and conclude your class with a meal of your own making. Included in the cost of a Hands-on class is a copy of the recipes, coffee for daytime classes and wine for evening classes, and a generous tasting of each dish. Class size limited to 12 people (London) and 6 people (Cambridge).

Lunchtime Classes are the perfect way to learn a lot about food in a short amount of time. Each class is only an hour long (1:00 – 2:00 p.m.) but packs in a lot of recipes that are quick to make and great tasting. Included in the cost of a Lunchtime class is a copy of the recipes and a generous tasting of each dish. Class size limited to 34 people (London only).

The 'La Cornue' Chef’s Table is a unique experience where you and 11 others relax around our luxuriously appointed La Cornue island at our Brompton Road School. It’s a rare opportunity to watch some of today’s top chefs prepare a multi-course dinner just for you with the chance to ask lots of questions and learn their tips and techniques. Included in the cost of a Chef’s Table is a copy of the recipes along with specially chosen wines to match the menu. Class size limited to 12 people (Brompton Road school only).

The Cooking with Confidence Series is a multi-part series that focuses on the fundamentals of great cooking. The three different series include Beginner’s Level One, Beginner’s Level Two, and Level Three. You can take all three or choose the skill level that best meets your needs. Each series takes place over 6 classes and concludes with either a class dinner party or canapé party to which you may invite a guest. Included in the cost of each series are copies of the recipes and dinner with wine at the end of each class. Class size is limited to 12 people (London schools only).

Growing Gourmets are fun-filled classes that teach children and young adults the joy of cooking. Divertimenti chefs supervise the students as they prepare dishes that focus on a culinary theme such as Mexican food, Italian or Cupcakes. Classes are divided by age (5-9 year olds and 10-16 year olds), with a maximum of 12 in a class, and are held at our Marylebone store.

Wine Tasting are held around our large oak table at our Marylebone High Street shop. Included in the cost of each class are tastings of  natural wines accompanied by a selection of cheeses chosen to complement them. Class size is limited to 12 people for champagne and 14 people for wine.

Gastro Tours are an exclusive insider’s walking and tasting tour around one of London’s best culinary areas, Marylebone Village. These fabulous foodie days culminate in a feast composed from ingredients sourced during the tour.
