A well made piece of copper will last a lifetime and Mauviel in France is the leader in quality copper cookware. These Mauviel copper saucepans feature fully stainless steel interiors as well as elegant stainless steel handles. Unlike traditional tin lined copper pans, these do not need to be relined and you can use metal utensils without damaging the pan
A copper pan will respond to changes in cooking temperature almost instantly so there is very little chance of food burning or over cooking while waiting for the temperature in the pan to fall. This is essential when cooking delicate foods such as fish, chicken liver or foie gras. With a little practice you'll discover that despite the lack of a non stick coating food will release from the surface of the pan very easily. The stainless steel lining lets you use any type of tools within the pan including metal ones, it's easy to clean should anything get stuck to the surface and will last a lifetime. Pans like this are so versatile that you'll want to reach for it every time you cook. it's easy to see why copper pans become treasured heirlooms which are passed through families for generations.
Mauviel have been making the finest copper cookware here since 1830. Their continued use of traditional manufacturing techniques means that a piece of Mauviel copper will perform every bit as well on its hundredth birthday as it did on the day it was made. Keen cooks will appreciate the extra conductivity of copper cookware and the control that it gives them when cooking the most delicate ingredients while an array of polished copper pans will look simply fantastic in every kitchen from the most modern to the very rustic.
